Our Aim

Working to raise community awareness of the proposal to build a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on greenfield Farmland on the edge of the Ebford and the harmful impact on the whole community. the group have serious concerns about the suitability of the site, location, safety, noise and on environmental grounds. we are working to ensure that this plant is not built in this area, but created on brownfield land instead.

Harmful impacts:

Noise - we beleive the constant hum of the batteries will severly impact on our community - suggested mitigation is to close windows inorder to reduce the noise from the industrial site.

Fire Risk - highly toxic gases released in the event of fire which will require community evacuation.

Loss of wildlife habitat - home to many species of birds and animals.

Visible from many view points - our beautiful unspoilt valley views will be spoiled forever.

Property Values - well established negative effect on the value of nearby homes.

Light Polluntion - no more dark nights
